Donor Runs Elective

This elective offers medical students an immersive opportunity to learn about organ donation and transplant surgery. Students will hear about the organ donation process from the perspective of transplant coordinators, organ recipients, and donor family members. Transplant surgeons will introduce students to the organ procurement procedure, and each student will accompany the transplant surgery team on an organ procurement run.

    • Scrub in and assist with the surgery
